Do you struggle falling asleep or wake often? Do you often get a poor night’s sleep and rely on caffeine to get you through the day? The more you learn about EMF radiation, the more you will connect your seemingly unconnected symptoms – like fatigue, insomnia, headaches, depression and anxiety, etc. to your EMF exposure. There is an easy solution – an EMF bed canopy.
EMF Exposure in Your Bedroom
You wouldn’t realize it, but there are many sources of EMF radiation in your bedroom. If there’s a smart meter on your house or if they’re used in your city, odds are a high amount of radiation is being emitted around you.
If you sleep near your cell phone you are being exposed to EMF. If you leave your wifi on at night you are being exposed to EMF’s as well, you might want to consider a wi fi router guard to reduce wifi exposure in your home. Within your room; tv’s, smart bulbs, smart devices, charging stations, computers, alarm clocks, etc., all produce radiation.
If you have neighbors, you are being exposed to EMF radiation from their wifi and other electronics as well. Depending on where you live, this could mean upwards of twenty to fifty wifi signals and smart meters.
This isn’t good in any room of your house but our bedrooms are particularly important for minimizing exposure. Most of us spend a significant amount of time in our bedrooms and on average will spend 26 years of our life sleeping.
While we sleep, our bodies go through major restoration and detoxification. Cell damage is repaired while we sleep, reducing our risk of cancer and disease as well as boosting our metabolism and immunity. In fact, sleeping is actually more important than good nutrition in speeding up healing of wounds. Clearly, for the reasons mentioned and for many more, having a good night’s sleep is incredibly important.
EMF exposure has a significant negative impact on your sleep. The blue light waves that are produced by many of your electronic devices reduce your body’s ability to produce melatonin, which is your body’s hormone for sleep. If your melatonin is thrown off, you will likely struggle with sleeping through the night and may experience insomnia, irritability, difficulty concentrating, anxiety, depression, digestive issues, weight gain, and a weakened immune system.
Beyond affecting your quality of sleep, exposure causes cell damage and in your bedroom this is happening right at the time you want to repair those cells. Although research is currently limited, it’s possible that this radiation can lead to health problems, including cancer.
If you are a highly sensitive person, you may be prone to more EMF related symptoms, such as dizziness, itchiness, nausea, fatigue, headaches, and irritability. If you’re one of these people you may want to pay particular attention to how you can protect your home and bedroom from this radiation.
Fortunately, there are a number of things you can do to reduce your EMF radiation exposure, especially in the bedroom. One easy solution is an EMF bed canopy.
The EMF Bed Canopy
Think of EMF bed canopies like a bubble around your bed, made of protective mesh. This mesh absorbs and repels radiation to protect you within the canopy, essentially creating a ‘dead zone’ around your bed and protecting you while you sleep. They can be pretty costly, ranging from approximately $500 to over $1000 but can save you money in the long run on multiple protective devices in your room, or EMF paint.
Having a canopy around your bed, means you don’t have to take all those EMF producing items out of your room. So you can still sleep with your phone nearby, or a tv in your room. If you use one around your baby’s crib, you can continue using baby monitors without worrying about the negative health affects they’re having on your little one.
Best EMF Bed Canopies
When choosing your canopy, the first thing to consider is the size of your bed. Make sure that it is large enough to fit your bed inside comfortably. Most are made of similar materials, such as a setting or mesh, lined with either silver or aluminum (conductive) material. Some canopies require you to ground the material (not unlike EMF paint). For these products, they will come with a grounding kit that you can have installed by an electrician.
If you’re interested in getting an EMF bed canopy for adults or children, I’ve put together a little guide to show you the top options currently on the market, and to help you choose the best one for your needs.
UrGarding Silver Coated Mesh Canopy
This canopy is made of silver-lined mesh and repels 99.99% of frequencies from 10MHz to 10GhZ (which includes most ELF and EMF radiation). It is lightweight, sheer, durable, easy to install, and can double as a mosquito net. According to the manufacturer, you can use this canopy without first grounding it, however grounding is still recommended.
The netting hangs from a hook (included) above your bed and for maximum effectiveness, should hang tight but not touch or lay on your bed. It may not work as optimally, if not used correctly. This particular canopy is only available in king size.
When properly installed, UrGarding’s Silver Coated Mesh Anti-Radiation Canopy was found to significantly reduce cell phone signals. It also comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee or full money back so no risk to you. Click here to check it out.
Blocsilver EMF Shielding Bed Canopy
This canopy is one of the highest rated ones currently available. It is spacious, breathable, and available in a variety of sizes (crib/cot, twin, full, queen, king, xl). It should fit just about any bed size and comes with a space sheet for the floor. It provides significant protection at up to 60db of shielding, and has been tested and proven to repel frequencies up to 40GHz. Making it one of the few canopies available capable of partially blocking – or at least reducing 5G.
According to manufacturers, grounding is not always necessary but is recommended (best is put the grounding wire directly into the soil outside, or a radiator pipe). Also, if you sleep on the main floor of your house, the canopy should be kept 3 feet away from the walls. A Blocsilver floor mat is also available to purchase, further reducing cell and wifi exposure, and increasing the canopy’s overall effectiveness. Click here to check it out.
Blocsilver Bed Canopy Dome Shaped
This dome-shaped canopy is well made, durable, breathable, very transparent, and lightweight. Available in Full, Queen, King, and XL, it comes with a space blanket for the floor beneath the bed but mats are also available for purchase, creating a Faraday’s cage.
This EMF protecting canopy has been tested up to 40GHz, therefore blocking high frequency EMF’s, including reducing 5G radiation. It works on 10MHz – 3GHz 35-60dB covering wifi, all mobile networks, Smart meters, DECT, Digital TV, Wi-Max and more. Grounding is recommended. Click here to check it out.
Anti Radiation Bed Canopy
If you’re looking for EMF bed netting that is rated for even higher db than the previous ones, you may want to check out this canopy as it is for use up to 60db. This covers both low frequency and high frequency 5G, as well as wifi, radio, and 2-4G like the other canopies.
Made of Blocsilver, available in twin, queen, and king, with breathable fabric, the only complaint is that this one is a little more confusing to set up than the others. Click here to check it out.
Swiss Naturell Bed Canopy
The swiss bed canopy is made of Swiss Shield fabric, which is highly recommended by the experts around the world in the field of EMF protection. Breathable (but not as breathable as the Blocsilver), lightweight, ecological cotton and silver fabric that is machine washable, rated at 35 dB and 1GHz.
This material is excellent for sensitive people and is rated one of the most effective bed canopies. Click here to check it out.
DIY EMF Bed Canopy
Another option if you are creative or have an irregular bed size is to make your EMF canopy for your bed. Both Blocsilver and Swiss Shield sell EMF protective fabric for this purpose. Woremor, an EMF paint manufacturer also sells grounding plugs to use with the fabric. You can also make your own wood frame to hang the fabric around.
If you are going to make your own EMF bed canopy then the first thing you’re going to have to do is measure how much fabric you need and purchase the right amount. Double check your measurements! You want enough to cover the whole bed with space, but you don’t want it too loose, as it should not touch you or your bed. You also don’t want any gaps – as that defeats the purpose of the canopy since EMF radiation will be able to get through the open spots.
You will need a hook (or several) to fasten the fabric to your ceiling and a lot of people have reported that using fabric weights at the end of the netting helps the fabric to hang more uniformly around your bed.
Although grounding is not necessary, manufacturers and experts in the field recommend it, as it increases the effectiveness of the fabric, specifically against the ELF-EMF radiation. Simply use a pair of clips to attach the canopy to the grounding cable and unit.
Does your EMF canopy work?
You’ve purchased or made your own canopy, set it up, grounded it but you might want to check its effectiveness before you sleep under it. To do this, you can test it using a high quality EMF meter. There are quite a few on the market, but I usually recommend the TriField TF2 because it comes from one of the most trusted brands, can detect all three forms of EMF radiation, and has a high rate of accuracy.
Once you have your meter, you’re going to take two measurements. The first with your canopy open, and the second with the canopy closed. What you should find is that the reading in the closed canopy should be significantly lower than the open canopy. If this is not the case, check for gaps – even small ones. To work effectively, the canopy must be entirely sealed.
If you are finding that you still have a higher than ideal reading after checking the gaps, it’s likely that radiation is coming through the floor and under your bed. In this case, you can buy an EMF protection floor mat to fully seal your dome and create a dead zone.
EMFs is not going away
Unfortunately, we’re not moving away from EMF radiation. The more people start to (or increase) their use of smart devices, and the 5G towers installed, the worse our exposure to EMF radiation will get. It is important to protect yourself now and for the future, especially when you are sleeping.
Poor sleep can have significant negative effects on your day-to-day functioning and overall health. It has been associated with cancer, depression, anxiety, and other illnesses. Many people have reported significant improvements to their sleep immediately after using a canopy, sleeping for longer periods, waking less, and feeling more rested.
Your investment into an EMF bed canopy can have immediate effects on your short-term sleep, and significant effects on your long-term health, reducing your exposure to radiation where you spend a significant amount of your time. If exposure is something you’re worried about this will give you peace of mind knowing you’re protecting yourself and your family.
